DAVID WILSON LONG . . . | ||||

was born in Aberdeen, Maryland on January 20, 1956. He was raised in Kingsport, Tennessee. Mr. Long attended Wake Forest University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee in 1978, graduating magna cum laude. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tennessee in 1981, where he was Order of the Coif. He was admitted to the Bar in 1981. While an undergraduate, Mr. Long was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma and Omicron Delta Kappa. Also at UT he was a Sigma Chi, a member of the Mortar Board and a Torchbearer. While in law school, Mr. Long was a member of Phi Alpha Delta (Vice Justice 1979-1980) and was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Bankruptcy and Creditors Rights. Mr. Long was the Chairman of the Real Estate Section of the Tennessee Bar Association from 1992 to 1993, and serves on the Mortgages and Other Debt Financing Committee of the American Bar Association Real Property and Probate Section. Along with Mr. Ragsdale and Mr. Waters, he previously practiced with Kennerly, Montgomery & Finley in Knoxville, Tennessee.
