was born in Knoxville on July
26, 1955, and grew up in Sevierville, Tennessee. Mr. Waters obtained a
Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate and Urban Development from the
University of Tennessee, graduating
summa cum laude in 1977. While at the University of Tennessee, he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma honorary fraternities and was also a Sigma Chi. Mr. Waters received his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1981. At Georgetown, he was a member of the National Moot Court Team, a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Insurance and a recipient of the Corpus Juris Secundum Award for significant legal scholarship. Mr. Waters previously practiced with Kennerly, Montgomery & Finley before forming this firm with Mr. Long and Mr. Ragsdale.
