TAXATION, ESTATE PLANNING AND PENSIONS . . .

The firm handles corporate, partnership and personal tax matters, including estate planning and pension law matters. Such activities include providing tax advice with regard to structuring transactions and the formation, reorganization and recapitalization of business entities. This area of practice also includes pensions, profit sharing plans and deferred compensation planning and advice. The firm also represents clients which are being audited by the Internal Revenue Service and other taxing agencies. Tax and estate planning matters are primarily handled by Mr. Hall, who holds an LL.M. degree in taxation and Mr. Long.
 

Certifications of Specialization are available to Tennessee lawyers in all areas of practice relating to or included in the areas of Civil Trial, Criminal Trial, Business Bankruptcy, Consumer Bankruptcy, Creditor's Rights, Medical Malpractice, Legal Malpractice, Accounting Malpractice, Elder Law, Estate Planning and Family Law. No lawyer at Long, Ragsdale & Waters, P.C. has been certified as a specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization in any of these areas of practice.  Further, in areas other than those listed, certification as a specialist is not currently available in Tennessee.
