R. Louis Crossley, Jr. concentrates his practice in the areas of general civil law with an emphasis on commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He has significant experience in state and federal trial and appellate courts. Crossley is an “AV” rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, having held such rating since 1986.
He has represented employers in employment discrimination suits involving both private plaintiffs and the EEOC; closely-held business owners in breach of duty and dissolution suits; landlords and tenants in commercial lease negotiations; commercial landlords in tenant eviction and workout matters; real estate brokers in collection of leasing commissions; property owners seeking to maximize compensation in eminent domain cases; title insurers in claims suits; entrepreneurs in general legal matters; a property owner in a successful defense of a Clean Water Act suit; and business owners in securities litigation. Crossley is also a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 civil mediator and is on the panel of mediators maintained by the local U.S. District Court.
Prior to attending law school, Crossley served as an investment adviser with a major insurance company and held a license from NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers), now known as FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).
